The Ordo Procinctus is a full contact, armored combat organization dedicated to increasing martial ability and instilling the warrior mindset in its members. While our primary focus is European weapon arts, we cross train in many historical and modern armed and unarmed combat systems in order to produce competent, well rounded fighters.

While previous martial arts/combat experience is helpful, it is NOT required to join and fight. We provide members with training days to learn and refine techniques. Then, if members so chose, they can test those techniques under the pressure of full contact competition.

The Ordo is not a role playing or persona based organization. We are the same people at practice and tournaments as we are at home or at work, just in different clothing and equipment.

We are also not a strict reenactment/living history group, even though we do try to maintain a historical appearance. The Ordo site is located on the Louisiana Renaissance Festival grounds, and is subject to the requirements of the LRF during the festival season, but Ordo requirements are significantly more casual during the rest of the year.
