Post Site Cleanup Day - Sunday 9/9 @ noon
As we should all be aware by now, the Ren Fest grounds flooded after Isaac passed through. While the amount of water that got into our building appears to be minimal, we still need to get on site and try to air the building out and sort anything that may have been on the floors and gotten soaked.

I would suggest that the circuit breaker to our building be turned OFF if it's not already. We will need to open up all of the junction and outlet boxes at or below floor level to check for any standing water.

I would like someone to get pictures of the site and any damage done to the building and/or items inside in case we end up being eligible for any kind of assistance or insurance money.

Here's a to-do list of things I can come up with off the top of my head:

* Assess and photograph any building damage.
* Log, photograph and dispose of any perishable goods and irrecoverably damaged items. (Please don't throw out someone else's gear. Leave it somewhere to dry and let them decide if they want to try and fix it.)
* Locate and retrieve any items that may have floated off.
* Air out any salvageable clothing and gear and leave it hung up to dry as much as possible. Don't forget to look in the cubbies under the floor.
* Anything else that you guys notice and think should be taken care of.

Please post here if you'll be able to make it out.

I'll be there. We will need to gut out the wet insulation, which means taking down some of the planking. it would be good to spray in the walls with a diluted bleach solution to reduce mold. Bring out claw hammers, bleach and spray bottles, work gloves, contractor trash bags.

Great list, Eric.

The tower has no insulation, so no planking needs to be removed on it.

Even nasty looking gear can likely be salvaged. Worst case it may make for nice decoration.

Sorry that I cannot help out this time, guys. I really wish I could.

I'm not sure about the weapons, but we removed the interior siding and insulation and also found some termites.

Make sure follow up is done on the termite situation. They can do a lot of damage rather quickly.
