Post Stones
Had to go the hospital this morning. The doctor was great, " You have a kidney stone, well multiple stones. The biggest one is a doozy, the size of an asprin. It's shaped like, have you ever seen a spiked ball on a chain........".

The big one is moving from my kidney to my bladder right now.

Fun.

Hydrocodone makes a world of difference here.

Wonder if all those red bulls contributed to it.

There's a procedure these days where they put you in a tub and render you with pulses of shock waves. It destroys the stones into sand, which you pass in lesser pain than the larger stone. I think the stone needs to be in your bladder though, but not sure.

Sounds like you cannot pass it like it is now.

Still Hasn't made it out. I've heard of the procedure where they break them up. I have to go the free hospital with dirty floors and rusty 1950's equipment and procedures. It old fashioned pee them out for me.

Bog has gotten a lot better since LSU took over. But I don't know if they have the specific technology we are talking about.

Well, I'm going in Monday morning for them to put a stint in. Apparently the stone is lodged between my kidney and bladder and has it clogged up.

It's not that bad. (from what I hear.)

They don't cut you open. Instead, they shove a large tube up your pee-hole, then the tip expands in place.

At the 'paid' hospitals they usually tranquilize you.

*********

All joking aside, while whatever they do may be unpleasant, it will be bearable. Especially by someone that continues to fight with broken ribs, fingers...

They may even be able to crush it into smaller pieces while they are next to it.

I'm imagining a scene from total recall. Except in the pee hole instead of the nose.
