I find unlyricised songs better than that generic stuff.

hahaha good "instrumental" no lyric songs, especially for fighting , are more a matter of preference.
might you have any that you would recommend. tho, the final fantasy games seem to do a great job with fight music.
funny you say squire chris, the songs i mentioned, i've seen used so many times for fight videos its not even funny, but they never seem to get old do they.
and i do think a few of rage against the machine's songs might do great to.

What you all need is some crazy LOTR music or something that sounds epic but old or traditional

Half-Life soundtracks.

Most any songs can fit with good video editing in my opinion. Even slow songs. You can time hits to happen on certain beats in the song.

If I were to go modern. Dethklok's facefisted and murmaider.
6 feet under's feasting on the blood of the insane.
Cradle of filth's an enemy lead the tempest.
Danzig, twist of Cain.

If you really wanna get right to it, you would use either an original piece or something that has no copyrights attached to it.
I believe Sir Dallas or Sir Jason may have something that would suit the fighting, or they could even compose a song for it. A coworker of mine is drummer for 9slug, and said they would gladly let us use their songs for our videos, if we want. (They also want to use some of our action for a music video)
