Post subject:  House Sigils and Sigil Exchange

Interest has been expressed by knights (and maybe some squires?) to have their sigils (or those of their knights) displayed underneath their own (or their squires') standards on the standards page.

Sir Dallas has already put down some guidelines for this practice already:

1.) Typically, a Knight and Squire exchange sigils when the Squire makes Knight.

2.) A House sigil may be established by a Knight and be displayed beneath the standards of any members associated with his house, regardless of standing or rank within the Ordo.

(Sir Dallas, please correct me if these are incorrect.)

I'm curious about which Knights have the right to establish a House, as I could see things getting completely muddled if 5 consecutive generations of knights each establish houses and all choose to retain the sigil of his Knight's House.

So this thread is here for the discussion of these standards and any potential rules or guidelines that might apply.

(Maybe I should have posted this thread in the Hall of Ordo? Admin, please move if you think so.)
