I assembled a PDF version of Mike Rasmusson's translation of Goliath's longsword. Each page includes the corresponding manual image, German trascription, and English translation all on one landscape-format page. This allows one to compare any of the three bits of information with any of the others without flipping pages or having multiple copies of the manuscript.

If you've never taken the time to check out a historical manual, please download this PDF and browse through it. The first 13 pages are what they call the "Merkeverse." It's essentially the "biblical text" of the Liechtenauer tradition of longsword fencing, supposedly written by Johannes Liechtenauer himself (I have appropriately colored his words in red throughout the document.) On page 14 the author begins a line-by-line deconstruction and explanation of the Merkeverse and eventually explains all of the techniques and describes various "plays" that can be used with each technique.
