Hard life, but believable.

If Ordo injuries were examined, we would find broken hand, finger, and leg bones. Also, numerous lacerations, bruises, and a contusion or two.

I really need to add more to the carnage gallery. I've got some more photos at the house....

Dude died in a tournament for fuck's sake. It really puts what we do into perspective, I think.

The difference is that they won't be saying, "This man broke his hand in a combat tournament of the time," they'll see the broken hand and dismiss it as a run of the mill injury. We may be Manly Men by modern American standards, but if that dude they dug up were still alive, he'd laugh and call us all a bunch of weak ass pussies.

Just sayin'.

Well...Squire Keaton's contusion (bka "The egg") COULD have been life threatening. If the blood would have swolled on the inside of his skull instead of the outside.

Of course, we could always play the "what if" game.
