I checked out the maunuals for the ECS, the group that the guys we were talking to are in. The rules are basically SCA with live steel. No hitting from behind, stop combat if someone falls, fight from the knees if struck in the leg, very short fights,etc. They seem like pretty cool guys though. -D |

Sir Dallas, I know this is a old post. I help start the Chapter of the ECS in Las Vegas in 1990. The group in Tx you will only find a few that may like what you do. They are small group with 40-50. I on the other come from Kingdom Of Vega and we fight much more and harder there. I been in the SCA,Black Talon,ECS, Adrain Emipre and many Tuchux bear pits. The ECS rules are are tame but they are meant to be with dead steel. I like what I see but it a bit far to drive more than once or twice a year. I am full time leather crafter. Groovy. Perhaps you could join us for some matches during our ren-fest here, we could always use more matches. We have a rather nice stronghold that can be camped in for the weekend. Our ren season is in November-December. -D |
