We did archery for the first time in a bit at the last tourney.
I'd like to include the other missile weapon events, knife and hatchet throwing, at the next tournament. I think it may be time for the Ordo to invest in a few good targets. I think the lack of functioning targets deters some members from studying the missile weapon arts.
I'll do some research on durable, weatherproof and economical targets. Drop any ideas or material resources you have in this thread.

Does anyone have access to larger diameter log cross section that are so great for hatchet targets?

I have some pine logs, but they're more than likely completely rotten and spongy by now. While they'd make good targets, I don't see them lasting for more than one or two hits.

Do you have a chainsaw? Are any of them at least 14 inches in diameter?

Does anyone have access to coroplast sign board? Sometimes after elections and what not you can pic up a bunch of them (18x24). They make good, weatherproof targets when bundled.

I just went out in the fucking cold and rounded up about 20 from an event we had yesterday.

Just for you damned archers.

Hopefully it'll be enough for at least one target.

Cool, we need 6 to 8 inches of thickness on the disks. I don't know much about chainsaws or fuel, but I have cut up a tree with one before, I'd be happt to wield it. Are you sure it works?
