Here are four of my bouts from the Houston tournament. I fought three other matches that haven't been posted yet. Fight with Ben - Part 1, Part 2, Part 3 - Ben outmatched me in height and strength, so I had a difficult time dealing with him. I lost in sudden death overtime. Fight with Roberto - Roberto was kind of timid. In most of our clashes it looks like I have the upper hand, but he finesses a lot of shots in that I think the judges missed. He did have a habit of not covering up after striking, so I get a lot of afterblows that the judges do notice. Fight with Cecelia - Cecelia had a very good thrust that I couldn't manage to dodge or displace most of the time. Fortunately for me, the judges missed several of them and my afterblows are what caught their eye. Fight with Patrick Fight with Axel - Easily my best fight of the day. Axel is one of the most winningest fighters in the world right now, so I was surprised that I gave him any kind of fight. My goal for that tournament was to not get completely trounced. Overall, I was pretty happy with my performance. |
