Thats funny you say that...Last night i dreamed about Zombie attacks all night. It's exhausting work dealing with Zombies. And for some reason Sir Jason was proud to have been turned into a zombie (A zombie with vampire fangs I might add)

What exactly is the issue now? Are the computers bending to your will yet Eric?

Computers bend to no one's will. They do just enough of what we say to make us think we're in control until they can get Skynet up and running. Then the shit will hit the fan.

I've got everything prior to the test cutting clipped down and organized and just need to convert it to something watchable.

Does anyone have any suggestions for final resolution and file format?

I can't remember what I used. Maybe 640x480? I maybe saved it as an AVI. I'll have to check tonight.

I put them up on YouTube, it did not really matter about the format as much, cuz YouTube seems to process the file somehow, so that it plays immediately.

Since you are putting these vids on the website, you may want a different format than what I used.

Your best bet, is to take a single clip, and save it/export it to a few different formats. See which one is best (file size vs. quality).

640 x 480 is a pretty "medium" size. 800x600 is "kind-of big". Getting into 1024 by 768 and up is where you start to call things "hi res" or "HD". For our purpose 640 x 480 is probably as big as you care to go. You could maybe go smaller if it isn't too impossible to see. I'd probably recommend 640 x 480 though (just goin by my first isntinct).

AVI is a HUGE file format for video. If I recall correctly, its more or less the most basic uncompressed video format you can use. You can try saving it as .WMV or .MOV. Those are good formats for the web.

I reccomend .WMV, I have had a lot of trouble viewing .MOV files I think they require a much better video card.

Thanks for all the hard work I know dealing with video can be a real drag.
I'd really like to see the test cutting !

Uploading the drill vids now. I couldn't get iMovie to export to .WMV, so they're all Quicktime .MOVs. I'm going to leave them to upload overnight and put some links up in the Hall of Ordo tomorrow sometime.

Should I give you the FTP info for the Ordo server? Or will it get stored elsewhere?
