I also need to go through and find all of the photos from previous tournaments and set them up. I plan on doing that when I get in tonight.

Nice photos. Unless mine eyes decieve me, I think I notice some of y'all using that old monster two-handed sword that I donated to Dallas a few months back... that thing is a BEAST. It's nice to see it still in use after 'retirement' though, how is it holding up? I think I still have a few bruises from it.

Do y'all ever film video clips of your bouts? We have found them to be a good learning tool..

Film clips are sometimes taken. I wouldn't mind seeing some of the latest ones myself.

Your weapons do get used from time to time. Some are still pretty functional, others are kinda funny. :)

LOL Yeah, the ones I gave away were basically the oddball and 'rejects' from our old sparring group, the ones made before we got into WMA or when we were just getting into it (like that two-hander). We really didn't understand the concept of edge geometry, realistic weight and dimensions, flexibility, etc. Some of those were more than five years old!

But I figured rather than just throw them away, maybe somebody could use them. I'm glad at least some of them are still getting some field time.

The weapons we use now are much more sophisticated. I would have shown you one the other day but I gather we just missed y'all at your last tourny. Interesting site they have out there, it's the first time I'd seen it. Almost worth the trip all the way out to jesus land ;)

Did you see the film clips I posted from our last practice?

Yes I have. nice sword work for sure! I saw some nice moves in there that may come in handy during one of our fights.

I was earlier talking about our film clips. Larry had a movie camera out there 2 tourneys ago.

Yeah, they may not look all that fancy, but it took me about 8 months to learn those false-edge cuts, twitch-cuts, binds, and hanging-guard counters. It definately helps you win though.

Who won your last tournament anyway? Who usually win? Any chance of seeing any of that footage Larry shot online?

We only had one fight before the rain hit us. I think Larry won. He probably has a 60% chance of winning the contact events lately. Sometimes Adam or Eric gets it. Peter won too. Basically, it's anyone's ballgame except mine. I pretty much come in second all the time. If I'm not second, I could have been.

As the weight of my armour dropped, I felt that I got better. I'm not too discouraged, cuz I still have some armour tweaking to do, and an additional weapon to create.
