Post The Magical Mister Materials Thread
Just wanted to start a thread for places to get materials. Feel free to add on:

Metal:

- People have had good luck with washing machine/dryer cases

- Small quantaties of mild and stainless steel and brass/bronze can be ordered from http://www.onlinemetals.com

- Brecheen Pipe & Steel Co. has full 4' X 10' sheets of hot rolled 16ga and thicker. They're located at 2340 American Way in Port Allen. Phone: 225-749-3553, 800-726-8803 (toll free)

Rivets:

- http://www.rjleahy.com has a great selection of rivets. I usually use 1/8" diameter, 5/8" long rivets except on helmets where I use 3/16" X 5/8" rivets.

Leather:

-Tandy Leather/ The leather Factory has a shop at 7917 Airline Dr in Metairie. Their number is 504-737-3434. Or you can order from the website at http://www.tandyleather.com. You'll want to use vegetable tanned or latigo leather, not chrome tanned. I use 7-9oz for straps.

Foam:

- Blue camping pads from the sporting goods section of Wal-Mart make great padding for armor and weapons.

-pool noodles (these are seasonal, so stock up in the spring/summer) are good for making weapons, especially staves.
