Looks like the Meyer Freifechter Guild has changed things up a bit this year. They've moved the location to their home base in Orlando and have implemented a modest registration fee.

Important details:
When: Saturday October 20th and Sunday October 21st
Where: Orlando, FL
Price: $50.00 in advance and $60.00 at the door.

Website: http://freifechter.com/events/2012/

Classes:

Meyer longsword stucke. Jayson May, instructor.
This class will cover fundamental plays of Meyer’s longsword.

Ringen am schwert in Meyer. Keith Cotter-Reilly, instructor.
Adapting grapping to longsword fencing has proven to be a challenge for many HEMA players. Cotter-Reilly unlocks the fundamental ringen plays for Meyer’s longsword, along with reasonable extrapolations from the described techniques.

Dagger clinic. Jon Wolfe, instructor.
. "Flow Drills for the Medieval and Renaissance Dagger" — One of the main problems when it comes to training with the source material for European Medieval and Renaissance era daggers, is that the techniques are most often demonstrated in isolation from one another in the historical texts. There are other martial arts that make use of particular drilling methods known as flow drills, where certain techniques are trained in a rhythmical and continuous manner, in which both participants are equally engaged in the exercise, and are able to adjust and tailor the drills to emphasize any technique that is desired.
Utilizing the fourth part of Joachim Meyer's work “The Art of Combat” as the primary source, Wolfe has developed a few flow drills, with variations, that instruct the basic principles of combat with the dagger, as Meyer describes them, in a manner that is adaptable enough to be used to train in the other historical European methods of dagger combat as well.

Arming sword basics. Joshua Barber, instructor.
Relying on the fundamentals of Meyer’s rapier, a cut and thrust weapon, and drawing on other diverse sources for the one-hand sword found in the Glasgow fechtbuch and Talhoffer, Barber brings simple but effective techniques that will have any student up and cutting away with finesse with the one-handed weapon that went by various names, including arming sword, single sword, grosse messer, backsword and broadsword.

Dussack by Meyer Mike Cartier, instructor.
Covering defensive fundementals, footwork, drills for developing speed, timing and control of distance. Comportment, defense and offense using the Provoker, Taker, Hitter.

Introduction to Ringeck’s sword and buckler. Jason Vail, instructor.
Coverage of the sword and buckler techniques presented in Sigmund Ringeck’s manuscript. These techniques are simpler than those found in the I33, and can provide the student with a good base for practice and loose play of this weapon system."
