I've been working on a chainmaille skirt to attach to my shiny breastplate. I patched up some butted chainmaille and added some rows to the edge to make it wider. Today, my dad and I attached the chainmaille skirt to the breastplate.
I think it's coming out pretty cool looking thus far. We haven't really had many problems with the chainmaille or the breastplate, so, hopefully, it'll all work great together in the ring. 
Dad was somewhat worried about the split in the back of the chainmaille not lining up dead center, but I'm not all that worried about things being exact as long as it all keeps me protected.
Sorry about the blurriness. The camera lens kept fogging up due to my being hot and all.
