This data was compiled by a fellow on the Armour Archive. He compiled this from studying several effigies.

For those that are putting together an authentic (or even semi-authentic kit), you can get a very good idea as to what time period contained the armour pieces you like, and also what pieces really don't matchup at all. (example: You will notice that articulated gauntlets and a maille hauberk would never have been used together, as that type of gauntlet was not seen until 50 years after the use of the mail hauberk.)

Of course, this is not to say that things were NEVER used together, but the effigies were probably closer to the norm and what you would expect to usually see.

Anyway...by using this information, I can date-stamp my present kit at 1360. 8-)

Here's the link Sir Victor meant to post:

I'd also note that the mail hauberk/articulated gaunts example is misleading - while a hauberk wouldn't likely have been worn as the sole torso protection during the time articulated gaunts were the norm, a mail hauberk was routinely worn underneath full plate harness well into probably the 16th century.

According to the charts, your kit actually sits about 1370, since you have fully articulated legs :)

Yes, thanks for clearing that up. I had meant maille as the sole body defense. Also thanks for posting the link. I do that often...
