Just wondering if Ordo has any rattan left over from a bulk order that I could buy or if not if someone could recommend a place to order it from I'd appreciate it. I'd like to get some weapons made so Amy and I will have more to swing around in the yard than just sticks lol. |

What Ordo has would eb good for spears or staves. A little thick for swords in my opinion, but could be used. Do a search for "Franks Bamboo rush". It's a place in california that I get my stuff from. The longest piece they can ship reasonably is 8'-11" (9' incurs a much higher shipping charge). THey will also cut it to length for you befor shipping, just tell them how long you want it. (You have to buy it in 9' lengths) Get some that is 1" or 1-1/4" thick for 2-handers (1-1/4" seems better). A 1-hander can be 3/4" or 1" (1" is better). Keep in mind that once you have a shipment coming in, it will not increase the shipping price much to get extra. So if you like, feel free to order a little extra, to sell to others. Page Gary was asking about some, and I know other Pages need some too. |

As an aside: personally built weapons have to be approved by the Ordo Weapon Master, correct? |

Yes, that would be Sir Eric. Also, from theordo.com home page, there is a link, "The Law", that lists some requirements for weapons. Oh and you gotta go to the "Armor and Weapons" link. |
